Our education system is in crisis when only 1 in 8 (12%) low income students completes college. Often these are First Generation students, meaning the parents have not completed their 4-year degree. This makes it harder for their children to navigate the path to college because they have to do it on their own.
What this means is less talent solving issues. Less talent able to share their creativity. Less medical and engineering breakthroughs. Less music. Less beauty. A dwindling of human talent.
Unless we think differently about the solution.
Imagine a solution that is over 90% successful for getting any student, including low income, to college. How? Prepping kids before they ever step on campus is what College Bound AZ does. We also provide scholarships to help our students. We’ve been doing it right since 2010.
Through our First to Go Project we are at 60 college students in three years and rising. Our students go to the Rochester Institute of Technology, Notre Dame, University of Iowa, Arizona State University and more. They study law, engineering, business, forensic science, human physiology, and art therapy.
The education crisis won’t fix itself. College Bound AZ does it right but we stand alone in our method to unlock the treasures that lay hidden in all our children. Please donate to unleash the diversity of gifts that exist in each of our scholars. Your gift of $25, $50, $100 or more will sponsor a scholar for one school year. Help give students the support they deserve, and bring us one step closer to education equity.
